Wow. It's been a while.

I've moved house, out from a share situation with my mum and in with my fiancé and our flatmate

Day after we all safely moved (but before we could get in and clean the vacated places) it flooded. Like, major flooding. (Ipswich and Brisbane, Qld, Australia, mid-January)

Fun.

Got stuck overnight at work one night, which sucked, but I came prepared with clothes and aforementioned fiancé. Being an aged care home, there are definitely worse places to be stranded.

Didn't lose anything, our new place was safe. My old place was safe, but the boys' one flooded downstairs to the ceiling. Glad all but an item or two was already removed.

The affected regions are still recovering, a month on. They always say it will take years, and however many hundreds of millions of dollars. They could be right. Some will never recover, just cut their losses and leave. Really sad, but life's a bitch like that.

I just quit my job, or gave 3 weeks notice, last Tuesday. When I'm done I'll start applying for something new closer to home. Scary stuff. Sad too, I've been there four years, but enough is enough and I think it's time for me to start a new chapter of my working life.

Saw Wicked last Wednesday night... *squee*! Needless to say I absolutely love it. I think you get the most out of it having seen the original Wizard of Oz film (Judy Garland et al) as well as having read the book (The Wizard of Oz, that is) and also having read Gregory Maguire's Wicked. That said, the musical is vastly abridged and sugar coated. But there is much giggle worthy content to be found and stick in your head tunes galore. Go see it, if you can.

Hmm, what else. I promise to scan and clean and upload some sketches out of my pad soon... ish. Maybe even finish my piece of fanart that's been sitting around on my hard drive since December 09...

But I also have a wedding to pull off and just over five months to do so... I can totally do this lol.

Hmmm... upgraded to iPhone 4 today. Any cheap or free app recommendations?
